Knit Cardigans from Bangladesh for USA Knitwear Labels and Retail Buyers

Our knit cardigans are made to order in our Bangladesh factory - a button-front cardigan knitted in fine or chunky gauges, with a neckline that sits flat, buttons that line up down the placket, and a body that keeps its shape on the hanger and on the wearer. Knitwear buyers order it because the yarn is soft without pilling fast, the ribbed cuffs and hem come back after washing, and the same style returns under your label season after season.

Materials: Cotton and cotton-acrylic yarns for everyday cardigans and wool blends for winter weight, knitted in gauges from fine 12-gauge to chunky 5-gauge, each with a visible stitch and a matte face.

Functionality: Button or zip fronts, V, crew and shawl necklines, ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem that hold their recovery, and patch or welt pockets where the style calls for them.

Size: Ladies sizes XS to 3XL and mens S to XXXL, graded to your chart, with body and sleeve length held in proportion at every size.

Customization: Your label and tags, your yarn colours and buttons, and flat or folded retail packing to your format.

Knit Cardigans

Knit Cardigans Made to Order in Bangladesh

A cardigan is judged in the hand before it is judged on the body. The buyer feels the yarn, looks along the button placket for a wave, stretches the cuff to see whether it comes back, and checks whether the neckline sits flat or curls at the edge. All of that is decided at the knitting machine and the linking table, not at final inspection. Our factory in Dhaka has made garments since 1987, and knitwear buyers return to this style because bulk production holds the hand, the fit and the finish of the approved sample, order after order.

Every order is made to order: your specification or ours worked to your size chart, your yarn colours and buttons, your label, produced as one controlled run in our own plant.

Cotton, Wool-Blend and Acrylic Yarns in Fine to Chunky Gauges

The yarn decides what the cardigan is for. Fine 12-gauge and 14-gauge knits in cotton and cotton-acrylic serve the light layering styles that sell through spring and autumn, with a smooth face that sits over shirts and dresses. Mid-weight 7-gauge carries the core of most ranges, and chunky 5-gauge and 3-gauge knits in wool blends serve winter, where the buyer wants warmth with a stitch you can see and feel. Every yarn is matte, holds dye evenly from pale ivory and stone to burgundy and sage, and is checked for shade and hand before it goes on the machines, with any off-shade cone set aside rather than knitted into a garment.

Button Plackets, Ribbed Cuffs and Necklines That Stay Flat

The make is set by your specification. Fronts are knitted with a proper button placket, buttonholes worked to the button size so nothing strains or gaps, and buttons sewn with a shank so the front closes flat. Necklines run as a V, a crew or a shawl collar, each band linked on by hand-guided machines so the join is smooth and does not ridge against the neck. Cuffs and hems are ribbed to a depth set on the sample, knitted with enough recovery to come back after washing without bagging, and side seams are linked stitch to stitch so the cardigan hangs straight.

A Layering Fit That Keeps Its Shape Off the Hanger

Our cardigan block is cut for layering: room through the body to go over a shirt or a fine knit, a sleeve that follows the arm without pulling at the shoulder, and a length that sits at the hip unless your style calls for longer. Knit garments grow or sag when the panels are not rested and measured before linking, so every panel is checked against the pattern before it is joined, and the finished garment is measured flat, chest, body length, sleeve length and hem, against the approved sample. The fit that is approved is the fit that ships, size for size.

Cardigan Sizes XS to 3XL Graded for the Canadian Market

The ladies run covers sizes XS to 3XL and the mens run S to XXXL, graded with the ease, body length and sleeve length held in proportion, so a 3XL keeps the same line as the medium instead of simply widening. Canadian knitwear buyers ask for a slightly longer body and sleeve on this style, so the cardigan layers over winter clothing without riding short, and their programs are graded with that length carried through the sizes as standard; any buyer's own size chart can be followed the same way. A full size set is measured before bulk knitting starts, and production does not begin until the set passes.

Woven Labels, Dyed Buttons and Packing Finished Under Your Brand

The cardigan leaves our floor as your product. Your woven label sits at the back neck, the size and care wording follows your artwork, and your hang tags, price tickets and barcode stickers go on at packing. Buttons are dyed or selected to your colour story, spare buttons are sewn in where your program asks for them, and colours can be mixed inside one order. Nothing on the garment or in the carton names us.

From Yarn Order to Packed Cartons - How a Cardigan Order Runs

An order starts with your specification: yarn, gauge, colour, neckline and front style, size chart, label artwork and packing. We knit the sample in the actual yarn and send it for approval; comments come back, the sample is corrected, and only the approved sample releases bulk knitting. Production runs as one order on our floor, with checks at knitting, linking and finishing, and a final inspection against the approved sample before cartons are sealed. Programs start from 3,000 pieces per order, with colours and styles combined from 800 pieces each, so ladies and mens styles can be built inside a single run.

Markets We Ship Knit Cardigans To

USA: Cardigan Programs for Knitwear Departments

American knitwear buyers build their cardigan wall on this style: fine-gauge button fronts in core colours, in the full ladies and mens size runs, delivered against the season calendar.

UK: Own-Label Cardigans for High-Street Knitwear Walls

British high-street buyers take the cardigan as an own-label knitwear staple, with crew and V-neck versions in seasonal colours and longer-line styles for the mature end of the range.

Germany: Fine-Gauge Cardigans for Mail-Order Knitwear Ranges

German mail-order and catalogue buyers place fine-gauge cotton cardigans where the even shade, the flat neckline and a fit that matches the size chart are what their customers reorder.

Canada: Warm Knit Layers for a Long Winter Season

Canadian buyers order wool-blend and chunky-gauge cardigans as warm layers for a long winter, graded with the extra body and sleeve length their market asks for.

France: Button Cardigans for Boutique Knitwear Collections

French boutiques and small labels order the finer gauges and softer yarns in short seasonal runs of colour, sampled and approved ahead of each collection.

Australia: Trans-Seasonal Cardigans for Southern Retail

Australian retailers run light cotton cardigans as trans-seasonal layers, in pale shades and core colours that carry across their autumn and spring programs.

Questions USA Buyers Ask Before Ordering Knit Cardigans

Can we choose the yarn and the gauge for each style?

Yes. Cotton, cotton-acrylic and wool-blend yarns are knitted from fine 12-gauge to chunky 5-gauge, and each style in your range can carry its own yarn and gauge. Yarn and stitch swatches are sent so you approve the hand before sampling.

Can the cardigans be knitted for men as well as ladies?

Yes. The ladies and mens blocks are graded separately, with the mens styles carrying a straighter body and longer sleeve. Both can run inside one order, each from 800 pieces per colour and style.

Can we have our own buttons, labels and colours?

Yes. Buttons are dyed or selected to your colour story, your woven label and tags are fitted at finishing, and yarn colours are matched to your swatches or standard shade references before bulk dyeing.

What is the minimum order quantity for cardigans?

Programs start from 3,000 pieces per order. Inside that total, colours and styles combine from 800 pieces each, so core colours, a chunky style and a mens version can run together in one order.

Do you deliver knit cardigan orders to the USA?

Yes. The USA is one of the main markets for this style, and every order ships with full export documentation, through your nominated forwarder or freight arranged by us. The other markets we serve are covered in the markets section above.

How are the cardigans packed for retail sale?

Every cardigan is steamed, checked one by one and folded or flat packed to your format, with your tags and tickets on and buttons protected. Cartons are marked to your specification, packed the way your warehouse or stores need them.
