Short Sleeve Cook Shirts from Bangladesh for USA Restaurant Chains and Catering Buyers
Our chefs cook shirts are made to order in our Bangladesh factory - the light, short sleeve shirt worn under the apron, from line cooks to the catering team. Chains and caterers order them in volume because the collar sits flat, the white holds wash after wash, and every reorder comes back the same.
Materials: Poly-cotton poplin with a visible plain weave and a dry matte face; the cotton side breathes over a hot line and the polyester holds the white through boil washing. A light twill setting is available for a firmer shirt.
Functionality: Button-through front, soft point collar, short sleeves with a turned hem, chest pocket, optional sleeve pen pocket, side hem vents and a back yoke.
Size: Unisex sizes from XS to XXXL, graded on adult chest measurements with length and sleeve in proportion at every size.
Customization: Each cook's name embroidered above the pocket, your house logo, woven neck label, size tabs and packing split by site or role.

Short Sleeve Cook Shirts Made to Order in Bangladesh for Kitchen Staff
Not every cook wears the double-breasted jacket. In most kitchens the shirt underneath does the real day's work: line cooks, prep hands, bakers, dish teams and catering crews wear a light cook shirt under the apron all shift. It has to be cool, quick to change, cheap enough to issue three to a person and strong enough to come back white. Siatex Bangladesh has sewn garments in Dhaka since 1987, and this is the volume end of our kitchen range: one strong shirt, sewn to order in your cloth and colours.
The standard shirt is white; the same block carries dyed colours for open kitchens and themed catering. Your size chart, embroidery and packing are set into the production file, so next season's shirt matches the one your crew wears now.
Light Poly-Cotton Cloths That Breathe Over a Hot Stove
The standard cloth is a light poly-cotton poplin. The cotton sits against the skin and keeps the shirt breathing over a hot line, while the polyester holds the shape at collar and cuff, keeps the white through repeated boil washing and dries fast enough for a daily laundry turn. The plain weave face is clear to the eye, dry and matte - nothing coated, nothing shiny.
A light twill setting adds body where wanted, and an all cotton setting is available on the same pattern. White is held to an approved standard across the run, so a shirt issued next year stands next to this year's set without a shade step. Dyed colours - stone, sage and kitchen grey among them - are matched to your swatch before bulk cutting.
Short Sleeves, a Soft Point Collar and a Chest Pocket That Works
The shirt closes with a button-through front. The buttons are chosen for the laundry, not the shelf - hard-wearing, sewn tight and made to survive the press. Snap fasteners can be set on the same block for teams around machinery, so a caught shirt pulls open instead of pulling the wearer. The soft point collar lies flat under apron straps and stays down through a shift.
The short sleeve ends at the mid upper arm with a turned hem - clear of cuffs and gloves, and easy to push up for a wash-down. A single chest pocket takes orders and pens, and a divided pen pocket can sit on the sleeve. Side vents at the hem let the shirt move when the wearer bends to an oven, and pocket mouths and the placket base are bar tacked.
A Cool, Easy Fit That Leaves Room to Reach and Lift
A cook shirt is cut looser than a dress shirt and neater than a smock. Our unisex block gives room through the chest and shoulders for reaching and lifting, then runs straight to the hem without spare cloth to catch on handles. A soft back yoke lets the shirt move with the shoulders. Body length is graded to stay tucked when the wearer bends, and proportions grow with the size, so the XXXL reads as the same shirt as the XS, only bigger.
Cook Shirt Sizes XS to XXXL Graded for the Spanish Hotel Market
The range runs from XS to XXXL on adult chest measurements, graded from your chart or our house chart. Spanish hotel and resort buyers, whose brigades work long seasons in hot kitchens, asked for a touch more body length and an easier grade through the middle sizes; those settings sit in the block for their programs.
Every size is measured off the production line - chest, shoulder, sleeve and body length - and recorded on the inspection report that travels with the order. The approved chart stays on record, so replacements issued two seasons later measure the same as the first delivery.
Each Cook's Name Embroidered Above the Pocket
Most cook shirts carry a name: the cook's name above the chest pocket, the house mark on the chest or the sleeve. Stitch density and backing are set for light poplin so the cloth stays flat around the letters - no puckering, no wandering threads - and the five-hundredth shirt matches the first. A sample is sewn with your actual names on the real cloth before bulk, so you approve the lettering as it will be worn.
Nothing on the shirt names our factory. Your woven label sits in the neck, size tabs and care labels follow your format, and packing splits by size, or by property and role for group programs.
Markets We Ship Chefs Cook Shirts To

American chains standardise on the cook shirt as the volume piece of the uniform: one block, one white, names held on file, so a new opening kits its whole crew from the existing program.

France: Bakery and Brasserie Counter Teams
French bakeries and brasseries put their counter and kitchen teams in the shirt for its neat collar and clean front, the block cut a touch closer for front-of-house work.
UAE: Banqueting and Event Catering Crews
Hospitality groups in the Emirates order for banqueting headcounts in the hundreds: the light cloth setting, name embroidery for large brigades and packing split by property.
Ordering Chefs Cook Shirts: Staff Count, Sample Shirt, Then the Bulk Run
An order starts with your specification - cloth, front style, sizes, artwork and staff numbers. Programs start from 3,000 pieces per order in total; within that total, each colour and style runs from 800 pieces, so white core shirts and a dyed open-kitchen colour ship in one consignment.
A sample shirt is sewn in the actual cloth with your names and logo applied: put it on your own crew and run it through your laundry before approving. Once approved, cloth is cut and sewn on lines set for light woven shirts, with in-line checks on collar shape and embroidery placement, and a final audit before cartons close. The approved sample stays on file, so the next order starts as a reorder.
Questions USA Buyers Ask Before Ordering Chefs Cook Shirts
Can each cook's name be embroidered on the shirt?
Yes. Send the names list and we embroider to the placement template - name above the chest pocket, house logo on the chest or sleeve - sampled on the real cloth for approval before bulk.
Can we run cook shirts in colours besides white?
Yes. White is the core; stone, sage, grey and other kitchen colours are dyed to your swatch on the same block, each from 800 pieces inside the order total.
Button front or snap front - which do kitchens choose?
Both sit on the same block. Buttons are the classic choice and stand up to boil washing and pressing. Snaps are chosen where crews work around machinery, because a caught front pulls open. Many buyers run buttons for kitchen staff and snaps for the dish and prep teams.
What is the minimum order quantity for chefs cook shirts?
3,000 pieces per order in total, with each colour and style at 800 pieces - enough to cover core whites and a dyed colour, or several properties, in one order.
Do you deliver chefs cook shirt orders to the USA?
Yes. The USA is the lead market for this range. Orders ship finished and packed to United States ports and consolidators, cartons marked to your warehouse standard.
