How Siatex Bangladesh Handles Your Information
This policy explains, in plain language, what information this website collects, why we hold it, and what choices you have over it. We are a make-to-order clothing manufacturer in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the only reason this site gathers information at all is so that we can answer inquiries properly and run the orders that follow from them. Nothing here is collected for advertising networks, and nothing is gathered in the background for sale to anyone else.
1. What Information We Collect and Where It Comes From
Almost everything we hold about you is information you send us yourself while asking about clothing production. In practice, it comes from four places on this site:
- The inquiry form - your name, company, email address, phone number, country and the message you write about the garments you want made.
- The inquiry basket - the product pages you add, the quantities and notes you attach to each item, and the contact details you give when you send the basket to us.
- The contact page - the same contact details and whatever you write in your message.
- The WhatsApp update list - your name and WhatsApp number, only when you choose to join the list yourself.
The site also records the cookie choice you make on the consent card, so the card does not keep asking. We do not run a web shop, we do not take card payments through this site, and we never ask for banking passwords or similar secrets through any form here.
One part of the site deserves a specific mention because it works differently from the forms: the inquiry basket keeps the items you add on your own device, in your own browser, while you are browsing. Nothing about the basket reaches us while you are still building it. The basket and its notes come to us only at the moment you choose to send it with your contact details, and what arrives is exactly what you saw in the basket when you sent it. If you never send it, we never see it, and clearing your browser removes it entirely.
2. Why We Use Your Information
Your details are used for the working purposes of a manufacturing relationship, and for nothing beyond them:
- To answer your inquiry and prepare a quotation against your specification, tech pack or sample.
- To develop samples and, once an order is confirmed in writing, to produce, check, pack and ship that order.
- To prepare the invoices, packing lists and shipment documents an order needs, which carry consignee details as export paperwork normally does.
- To send the production and product updates you asked for, if you joined the WhatsApp update list.
- To keep the order file complete, so any question about a past order can be answered from the record.
If a purpose is not on that list, we do not use your information for it. A merchandiser working on your file is the person who reads your messages, not a marketing department.
3. Cookies and the Consent Card on This Website
When the cookie card appears, it is asking one simple question: may this site store the small cookies it needs to work and to remember your choice? What happens next depends on what you choose:
- If you accept or decline, the site stores that choice in a cookie for six months so you are not asked again on every visit.
- If you close the card with the X instead, that is stored separately as a dismissal, and an ignored card stays out of the way rather than following you from page to page.
- You can change your mind at any time: the Cookie Settings link in the footer reopens the card, and your new choice replaces the old one straight away.
The site does not use the consent card to sneak in advertising trackers; its job is to remember what you decided.
4. Who Sees Your Information
Your information is never sold, rented or handed to data brokers. Inside the company, it is seen by the merchandising and export team members who handle your inquiry and your orders, because they cannot do the work without it. Outside the company, details move only where an order genuinely needs them to move:
- A freight forwarder or shipping line receives the consignee and shipment details printed on export documents.
- A courier receives a delivery name and address for samples.
- Banks see the names on payment documents, exactly as normal trade paperwork works everywhere.
Your designs, labels and artwork are treated the same way as your data: they are used for your orders and are not passed to other buyers.
5. How Long We Keep It and How It Is Looked After
How long information is kept depends on what it is:
- Inquiry details are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, because buyers often return to a quotation a season later and expect us to have the file.
- Order files are kept for the life of the buying relationship and the years of record keeping that export trade requires, so that a document from a past shipment can still be produced when a bank, an auditor or the buyer asks for it.
- Access to the files is limited to the team working on them, and the same care applies to paper files and email.
If you want your inquiry details removed from a lapsed conversation, write to us and we will delete what we are not required to keep as part of an order record.
Looking after information is mostly ordinary discipline rather than technology: files are held under the company's own accounts, the people who can open a buyer file are the people working on it, and documents leaving the building do so because an order needs them to, addressed to the party who needs them. No system is perfect, and we will not dress this up with claims we cannot stand behind, but the rule inside the office is simple - a buyer's file is opened for the buyer's business and for nothing else.
6. When You Email Us Directly
Many buyers skip the forms and simply email our office. An email you send us is treated the same way as a form submission:
- It sits in the mailbox and on the inquiry file of the merchandiser who answers you.
- It is used to respond and to run any order that follows.
- It is not forwarded to mailing lists or third parties.
Attachments you send are filed with your inquiry and later with your order, because production works from them:
- Tech packs.
- Size charts.
- Artwork.
If you send an email to the wrong address or about a subject we cannot help with, it is simply answered or deleted; it is never added to the update list unless you ask to join it.
7. Your Choices and How to Reach Us
The information is yours, and you can ask about it at any time. Write to [email protected] if you would like to:
- Know what contact details we hold for you.
- Correct something we hold that is wrong.
- Have your details deleted where an order record does not require us to keep them.
If you joined the WhatsApp update list and want to leave it, reply to any update and you will be removed. Privacy questions about this website go to the same address, [email protected], and are answered by the team that runs the site.
Privacy for Clothing Importers in the USA
Importers in the USA often work under their own internal compliance rules and ask direct questions about where inquiry data sits before a first order is placed. The short answer is the one this whole page gives: your details sit on your inquiry and order file with our merchandising team in Dhaka, they are used to answer you and to run your orders, and they are not sold or shared for anyone else's marketing. If your compliance team needs that in writing against a specific order, ask and we will confirm it from the file.
