Heavy Canvas Work Shirts Sewn to Order in Our Dhaka Factory
Some shirts in a workwear range are there to look tidy. A canvas work shirt is there to be worn hard: brushed against timber and steel, washed every week and put back on without the collar curling or the pockets tearing away. It sits between a standard work shirt and a light jacket, heavy enough to wear as the outer layer on a mild day. Siatex Bangladesh has sewn garments in Dhaka since 1987, and this shirt comes off the same lines as the workwear our buyers reorder year after year.
Every order is made to order - your colour, your label, your pocket layout and your packing, produced as one controlled run held to the approved sample.
Mid-Weight Duck Canvas with a Dry, Matte Hand
Duck canvas is a plain weave cotton cloth packed tight, thread against thread. For this shirt we cut it at a mid workwear weight: lighter than the heavy canvas in our jacket, so it drapes and buttons like a shirt, but with the dense face and dry hand that shrug off scuffs and site dirt. Hold it up and the weave is plain to see - honest cloth with body, nothing coated and nothing shiny.
The standard colours are the working shades: khaki, stone, olive and brown, dyed to your standard and held across the run so reorders match your existing stock. A garment wash can be set where you want the shirt soft from the first wear; unwashed, the canvas starts firm and settles to the wearer. Where a program washes daily, a cotton rich setting keeps the same canvas face with easier care.
Button Front, Twin Flap Pockets and a Shirttail Hem
The front buttons through on a sewn placket with a point collar that sits flat open or closed. Two chest pockets close with button flaps, the left one carrying a pencil slot, and both are sized for a phone, a notebook and a site pass rather than decoration. The back runs from a double yoke, so the shoulders carry the strain when a man reaches, lifts or drives.
Seams at the armholes, shoulders and sides are sewn with twin and triple needle rows where the pull comes, and pocket mouths and placket ends are bar tacked. Sleeve plackets and button cuffs let the wearer roll his sleeves and keep them rolled. The hem is a proper shirttail, long enough to stay tucked through a shift, with a clean finish for wearing out over jeans. Every detail is checked on the body at sample stage, not only measured flat.
Canvas Shirt Sizes S to XXXL Graded for the Australian Market
The block is graded on adult men's measurements from S to XXXL, with chest room, shoulder width, sleeve length and tail length growing together, so the large sizes keep the shirt's shape instead of turning into sacks. Australian rural buyers ask for a longer tail and room to wear the shirt over a tee, and that setting is built into the block for their programs and kept under the buyer's name.
Send your own size chart and we produce to it instead. The approved chart is locked into the production file and checked against finished shirts at final audit, so the size L that ships next season measures the same as the one your customers wear now.
Embroidery, Neck Labels and Program Packing Under Your Brand
Most canvas shirts leave here under the buyer's own name. Your woven label is sewn at the neck, your size tabs and care labels follow your format, and your mark can be embroidered on the chest above the pocket. Canvas is a firm cloth, so stitch density and backing are set for it at sampling - you approve the real embroidery on the real cloth, sitting flat with no puckering, before bulk is cut.
Hang tags, folding and packing follow your program: retail fold with tags for the shop floor, or plain polybag packing split by size and colour for uniform issue. Shirts arrive ready for your warehouse, your stores or direct delivery to a client's site office.
Ordering Canvas Work Shirts: Quotation, Sample, Then Bulk
Send your colour, size spread and artwork and we return a costed quotation with cloth options. A pre-production sample follows in your main colour with your label and embroidery applied - wear it on site, wash it, work the buttons and pull at the pockets. Only on your written approval do we cut bulk. Inline inspectors check measurements and stitching as the run proceeds, and finished shirts pass a final audit before cartons are sealed.
The minimum order is 3,000 pieces in total per order, with sizes and colours combined inside that total; within it, each colour and style runs from 800 pieces. Your approved sample, chart and colour standards stay on file under your name, so the next order starts as a reorder, not a new negotiation.

Questions USA Buyers Ask Before Ordering Canvas Work Shirts
Is this a shirt or an overshirt - how heavy is the canvas?
It is a true shirt cut in a mid-weight duck canvas: heavier and harder wearing than a standard work shirt, light enough to wear on its own. Buyers who want a jacket weight should look at our canvas jacket instead; the weight approved at sampling is held for every reorder.
Can we have short sleeves in the same canvas shirt?
Yes. The same block can be run with short sleeves and the same pockets, placket and canvas, so a program can carry a summer and a winter version of one shirt.
Can our logo be embroidered above the chest pocket?
Yes. Send the artwork and we sample the embroidery on the real canvas with density and backing set for the firm cloth, placed to a template so every shirt in the run matches the approved sample.
What is the minimum order quantity for canvas work shirts?
The minimum is 3,000 pieces per order across sizes and colours, with each colour and style running from 800 pieces within that total.
Do you deliver canvas work shirt orders to the USA?
Yes. The USA is the lead market for this shirt, and orders ship with full export documentation, through your nominated forwarder or freight arranged by us. The other markets we serve are covered in the markets section above.
If a heavy canvas shirt belongs in your next range, send us your colour and artwork. We will reply with a quotation, cloth options and a sample timeline.
